Re: 1vs2-seed CCs & 1vs1-seed SBs we're okay to have missed

The '87 season is always difficult to disect due to all the scab games that went on. On the surface it looked like the '87 Vikes/49ers game was a huge upset because the Vikings were only 8-7. Yet their scab team went 0-3. All but one of the games the real Vikings lost was by less than a touchdown an...

Re: 1vs2-seed CCs & 1vs1-seed SBs we're okay to have missed

That Niners squad...an uncharacteristic choke to Vikes and Craig fumble away from a likely 4-peat. The Bills would have knocked the socks off the '90 '9ers. The 49ers running game had really fallen off that year (Craig's production was cut in half from the previous year. The Giants matched up with ...

Re: 1980 and 1983 Cowboys Offense

It seemed like after 1975 the Cowboys stopped adding/drafting good defensive players to the roster. Even in 1981, the defense was extremely dependent on Randy White/Too Tall/Harvey Martin. The continuation of the Cowboy dynasty in the 80's fell to the offensive skill positions, IMO. You had Dorsett...

Re: Cowboys '81 secondary

It's funny. On Walls wikipedia page it says that he was finally waved by Dallas by JJ because of a lack of production (which you can't really blame him much for on that 1-15 team) and an incident where Jimmy caught him talking and smiling with a Cardinals player after one of their games. I think Jim...

Re: Why No One In the NFL Wants Tim Tebow

I say Tebow's best option is to continue being a television persona for College Gameday and the SEC Network. He's got a great personality for the college game and he likely gets paid just as well doing that (maybe even a little better) than he would as a second or third string qb in the NFL.

Re: Why No One In the NFL Wants Tim Tebow

I personally just feel that teams didn't think he was all that good. The year he was with the Broncos they had the top defense in the league that year (or one of the top defenses) and they still had to struggle to pull games out because of Tebow's ineffiencey through the majority of the game. I thin...

Re: Cowboys '81 secondary

Walls had an outstanding rookie season in 1981, leading the NFL in interceptions with 11 (the last time anybody intercepted as many as 11 in a season) and also led the league in 1982 with seven picks, the last time a player led the league in interceptions in consecutive seasons. Yeah they did menti...

Cowboys '81 secondary

I recently saw the Cowboys/ Bills '81 regular season game (well the first half at least as I havn't watched the second half yet) and in that the MNF announcers were absolutely ripping the Cowboys defensive secondary to shreds. Now pretty much all the images I have of the '81 Cowboys were from the NF...

Re: Chris Berman retiring from ESPN after 2016 season

My favorite Berman line was for Scot Zolak. 'He's not dumb but he doesn't understand why walks like a woman but talks like a man. He's Zolak. Z-O-L-A-K Zolak'.

Yep.

They said they are going to be using 2016 as a developmental year and won't kick off until 2017. We'll see if it ever gets done.
