Re: Rank all twenty '90s top-seeds

Like 74-79 said above In regards to the '93 Cowboys Emmit's holdout probably has a lot to do with how they are viewed historically. If he played the full season they likely beat both Washington and Buffalo and would have finished the season either 14-2 or 15-1. I personally still think the '92 team ...

Eziekiel Elliot

Is he almost a lock to being rookie of the year if he continues to stay consistent to what he has been doing already this year? One thing is for certain is that he is proving just how important running backs still are in this pass happy league today. Really the biggest difference in this years Cowbo...

Re: Sad news about Marty Schottenheimer

I think the big thing about the Marty teams is that they simply weren't good enough to overcome the mistakes they made. Even great teams make mistakes yet they are good enough to overcome them and usually had a big enough lead that when they did make them it didn't really matter.

Friday Night Tykes

This is a very good series that really makes us sit back and think how much is too much in regards to youth football. I havn't watched season 2 yet but just got finished watching season 1. Tykes deals with one of the more competitive youth leagues in America named Tyfa. In the first season the serie...

Re: Last Chance U

A "reality" show with manufactured drama? Nah, you've got to be kidding. :D That was one cool thing about the 'Hard Knocks' series though is that they didn't seem to put in any 'artificial' drama. At least not from what I could see. Generally the drama they used was seeing if this particu...

Last Chance U

Anybody who is a fan of football should definitely check this out regardless if you prefer pro or college as it is very well made. It's currently on netflix streaming and gives a very in depth view of the realities of Junior College football. Only negative I could say about it is that I do have a fe...

Re: 1994: Steelers VS Cowboys (late-January '95, that is)

Dallas did win some convincers in '94, looking no different than what they were the last two years leading up, but there were signs of weakening as early as the very next game after their Steel City opening thumping, letting a now-suddenly-bad Houston team frustrate them. After that was the home-lo...

Re: 1994: Steelers VS Cowboys (late-January '95, that is)

If there is any year during the Super Bowl error that two teams from the same conference were head and shoulders better than any one else from the other conference it would have been San Francisco and Dallas in '94. Aikman, Irvin, and Smith were all seasoned veterans by then and they knew when to tu...

Re: St.Louis Cardinals: Team of the 1970s?

You could make any team into the team of the decade if you re-write enough history. Yep. You really have to do a lot of 'ifs and buts' to turn a team that hasn't won a championship in nearly seventy years (and only won two titles in there almost hundred year history) into a team of any particular d...
