Re: 2021 QB draft class

He has had the most success so far, but I think I've seen more flashes of big things from Fields. Flash doesn't mean much when winning doesn't follow, though.

Re: 2021 QB draft class

This class was so hyped too. I never bought into Wilson, but I thought there was no way Jones would be worse than alright, especially after the first year. The biggest surprise might be Lawrence just being decent, though.

Re: PIT QB signings

I think Fields is better than Russ right now, the decided arrangement is probably based on promises and contract timelines rather than the product on the field. They kind of just YOLOed this, it wasn't planned at all and they had to sort it out in a way where no one feels betrayed. Regardless, I'm p...

Re: Kirk Cousins (R.I.P. Vikings career?) - How did he do?

All of the top 3 teams except Chicago need a quarterback too bad and none will be willing to trade their pick. They are a prime candidate to trade up for Williams, but I'm not sure they could do it without losing JJ, which defeats the purpose. Minnesota is going to ride Darnold and Dobbs into 2024 u...

Re: Kirk Cousins (R.I.P. Vikings career?) - How did he do?

Now getting Burrow, Chase, and Jefferson back together is exactly how you do build a roster... in Madden Franchise. Doubtful whether it's feasible IRL, but if they pull it off, I might actually start to believe the Bengals are a well-run franchise for once in their history. They sure have shown me a...

Losing JJ for a rookie QB is exactly how you don't build a roster.

Re: Mahomes, going into SBLVIII today, what HOF QBs has he already 'passed'??

To answer the specific question, if Mahomes retired today, I'd rank him above the following of the current 23 modern era HOF QBs: Aikman Blanda Bradshaw Dawson Fouts Griese Jurgensen Kelly Layne Moon Namath Starr Staubach Tarkenton Tittle Van Brocklin Waterfield Young Did you forget that Stabler an...

Re: A question about evaluating quarterbacks

I'd chalk that up to late 80s video game developers just not knowing much about Sid Luckman and Otto Graham and thinking their stats looked low. Pretty impressive for something that old to include basically a Madden Ultimate Team prototype, though. The real answer, of course, to why we use certain m...

Re: Andy Reid vs Tom Landry vs Don Shula

Brown was way too capricious. Landry and Shula at the bottom of the top 10 is a bit wild. But I think Belichick's ignominious demise has distanced Lombardi at the top.

Re: Steve McMichael: HOF?

...it feels like the HOF regards the judgment of the founding classes as sacred, anyone they passed over was passed for a reason that doesn't require an explanation, and the only instance they're willing to admit they screwed up on is Friedman. Possibly, but I think the combination of recency bias ...
